What I Think Of DC's Titans So Far
Posted by derek jefferson on
First off let me shout out J-Skipper for allowing me to use his art for my blog. Now I was just excited as everyone else when the announced the new Titans series. Well for one, it's the first real-life take on the Teen Titans. The second reason is that it looked more mature then we are used to seeing on the small screen. But I was instantly disappointed when I saw the actual series, I mean they did an excellent job with capturing Dick Greyson/Robin. I think giving him the role of a cop was risky being that people knew...
What Stan Lee Meant To The Culture (RIP 1922-2018)
Posted by derek jefferson on
Shoutout to the artist of these pictures that I'm using for this blog. Stan Lee was an icon, and he is responsible for Spiderman, X-Men, Daredevil, Iron Man, Black Panther, The Hulk, and many more Marvel characters. Stan Lee even had his own comic book series he created about people who worked in his office, I didn't get a chance to get into it to give you a better description of what it's about but my point is that Stan Lee was a legend that most of us grew up with. From Saturday morning cartoons to MCU movies that drop...
What I Think About The Rumored Michael B. Jordan's Superman

Big shoutout to Davian C. for letting me use his artwork for this article. I don't think it's a good idea for Micheal B. Jordan to be Superman or black for that matter. I'm black myself but to change the race of a major known figure is not an easy thing to do, especially without extending the storyline or altering it in a familiar way. What I mean by that is if it is an adapted story out of the comics like maybe Michael being Steel and they team up or something. I can see that happening more than just changing...
Why I Think Luke Cage and Iron Fist Got Cancelled By Netflix
Posted by derek jefferson on
Big shoutout to J-Skipper for letting me use his artwork for this article. Well, I think this can be looked at from a few angles, but let me start at the perception of the shows. When Iron Fist came out I was a big fan of Daredevil and Jessica Jones didn't draw my interest at all from the trailers. I gave Iron Fist a change because I knew his show was gonna be related to the TV MCU. It started off slow, I got to episode 3 then lost interest after that. Then Luke Cage came out and of course, I...
Why Was Venom Successful Despite Negative Critic Reviews? (Spoilers)
Posted by derek jefferson on
Big shoutout to Yusuf S. for letting me use his artwork for this article.I would like to give a special shout-out to Yusef S. for letting me use his fanart of Venom. First I want to say Venom was dope even my wife loved it and want to see it again. I think the critics labeled it a failure before it was released to fans for 2 reasons. The first reason I think is because of the disconnect from the Spiderman storyline. When you think of Venom you think of Spiderman so it's only right that critics would be worried...
